Interested in adopting a pet from Bonnie Blue Rescue?

Bonnie Blue Rescue is an animal rescue group. We are registered as a non-stock corporation in the Commonwealth of Virginia and have applied for 501(c)3 status with the IRS (to become an official nonprofit organization).

We are dedicated to rescuing abandoned, abused and neglected dogs.
We take dogs into our foster homes and work to rehabilitate them and
place them in loving, forever homes.

Our rescue pups come from four main places:

Shelters
Owners who surrender their dogs to us
Strays
Abused and neglected dogs

Bonnie Blue believes that every pet has a worth; therefore, there is an adoption fee for each pet.

How it works:

All adoption fees go directly to help pay for medical expenses, such as spaying/neutering (including the cost of surgical sterilization) and vaccinations, boarding, transportation and food for the animals.

When you adopt a dog from Bonnie Blue Rescue, he or she will be spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated.

All dogs prior to adoption are:

Checked by a veterinarian
Spayed or neutered
Up-to-date on shots
Current on flea/tick/heartworm preventative

We also temperament-test all dogs to understand their best fit in a family.

Adoption Fees:

The adoption fee for a young, healthy dog is $300.
The fee for senior dogs (7 yrs or older) or dogs with an on-going health problem (such as diabetes or hypothyroidism) is less, usually $150.
